Some pediatrician’s offices prefer a consultation with new moms before the baby is born. This should be chosen by your 30th week of pregnancy.

Groups marked with an asterisk (*) will provide in hospital newborn care only. After your discharge from the hospital, you must arrange follow up care for your baby through the Chesapeake Public Health Department at 382-8720 or through a private physician who is a Virginia Medicaid Provider. The Health Department has a board certified pediatrician on staff who will be pleased to see you. They can help you with parenting classes, infant feeding (WIC), and other means of assisting you as a new parent.
